The school governing body and the management are responsible for the school.","inhoud":"<h3>Contact point for student and parents<\/h3>\n<p>If there are problems at school, the teacher is the first contact point. Students and parents can also turn to the following staff:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mentor: at secondary school, each student has a mentor who is the first contact point for students and parents.<\/li>\n<li>Department or team leader: this is the contact if you cannot agree with the teacher or mentor.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.schoolenveiligheid.nl\/po-vo\/visie\/vertrouwenspersoon-op-school\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Confidential advisor<\/a>: you or your child can talk confidentially with this person about sensitive issues like bullying or sexting.<\/li>\n<li>Dean: the contact at secondary school for <a href=\"https:\/\/oudersenonderwijs.nl\/kennisbank\/kwaliteit-van-het-onderwijs\/lessen-en-vakken\/loopbaanorientatie-en-begeleiding\/\">profile choice and further education options<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Extra help with learning<\/h3>\n<p>Some children <a href=\"https:\/\/oudersenonderwijs.nl\/kennisbank\/passend-onderwijs\/ondersteuning-op-een-reguliere-school\/extra-ondersteuning-op-school\/\">need extra help<\/a> with learning, behavior, or social-emotional development. Each school has an internal support coordinator (primary school) or a care coordinator (secondary school). Some schools also have a remedial teacher to support students who struggle with specific subjects.<\/p>\n<h3>The school management<\/h3>\n<p>The school management includes the principal and the school governing body. Large school governing bodies with many schools often also have a manager responsible for some of the schools.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The principal is responsible for the daily running of the school. Sometimes an assistant principal takes over parts of the principal&#8217;s tasks.<\/li>\n<li>The school governing body manages the organization that the school belongs to. It is formally the authority and is the employer of the principal and other school staff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>School leader register primary education<\/h3>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The principal of a primary school is important for the quality of the school. A school leader diploma shows if someone can lead a teacher team. You can check <a href=\"https:\/\/www.schoolleidersregisterpo.nl\/over-ons\/documenten\/publicaties\/2023\/04\/26\/basisschoolkeuze\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in the school leader register<\/a> if your child&#8217;s primary school principal is registered.<\/p>\n<h3>Declaration of Admissibility<\/h3>\n<p>Almost all staff at the school need <a href=\"https:\/\/oudersenonderwijs.nl\/kennisbank\/pesten-veiligheid-en-gezondheid\/fysieke-veiligheid\/verklaring-omtrent-het-gedrag\/\">a declaration of admissibility<\/a>.
