There are different contact points within the school. Staff are also available for students who need extra care or support. Your child's teacher is often the first contact point. The school governing body and the management are responsible for the school.","inhoud":"<h3>Contact point for student and parents<\/h3>\n<p>If there are problems at school, the teacher is the first contact point. Students and parents can also contact the following staff:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mentor: in secondary school, each student has a mentor who is the first contact point for students and parents.<\/li>\n<li>Department or team leader: this is the contact point if you cannot solve the issue with the teacher or mentor.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.schoolenveiligheid.nl\/po-vo\/visie\/vertrouwenspersoon-op-school\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Confidential advisor<\/a>: you or your child can talk confidentially to this staff about sensitive situations, like bullying or sexting.<\/li>\n<li>Dean: the contact point in secondary school about <a href=\"https:\/\/oudersenonderwijs.nl\/kennisbank\/kwaliteit-van-het-onderwijs\/lessen-en-vakken\/loopbaanorientatie-en-begeleiding\/\">profile choice and the choice for follow-up education<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Extra help with learning<\/h3>\n<p>Some children need <a href=\"https:\/\/oudersenonderwijs.nl\/kennisbank\/passend-onderwijs\/ondersteuning-op-een-reguliere-school\/extra-ondersteuning-op-school\/\">extra help<\/a> with learning, behavior, or social-emotional development. Every school has an internal support coordinator (primary school) or a care coordinator (secondary school). Some schools also have a remedial teacher to help students with subjects they find hard.<\/p>\n<h3>The school management<\/h3>\n<p>The school management includes the directors and the school governing body. Large school governing bodies with many schools often have a manager responsible for some of the schools.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The director is responsible for daily school matters. Sometimes an assistant director takes some tasks from the director.<\/li>\n<li>The school governing body is the organization the school belongs to. This body is formally the &#8216;competent authority&#8217; and is the employer of the director and other school staff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>School leaders register primary education<\/h3>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The director of a primary school is important for the school&#8217;s quality. A school leader diploma shows if someone can lead a teaching team.
