A learning delay can affect the school career.","inhoud":"<h3>Didactic age equivalent<\/h3>\n<p>The skill level of students can be shown in a didactic age equivalent. This shows how many months ahead or behind a student is compared to the didactic age. The didactic age is the number of months of education a child received during school. It counts 10 months of education per year from group 3. At the end of group 3, a student has a didactic age of 10 months, and at the end of group 8, 60 months. If the student is exactly on level, the didactic age and didactic age equivalent are the same.<\/p>\n<h3>Student monitoring system<\/h3>\n<p>Almost all tests in the Netherlands have didactic age equivalent scales. Nearly every automated student monitoring system can use these equivalents. With the didactic age equivalent, a school can place the test result of a student compared to their group and program progress.
