This report is about the child's school progress and learning opportunities. The goal of this report is to give the next school information so it can ensure a continuous learning path. The educational report is not the same as the school report.","inhoud":"<h3>Mandatory<\/h3>\n<p>Primary schools are <a href=\"https:\/\/wetten.overheid.nl\/BWBR0003420\/2025-08-01#HoofdstukI_TiteldeelII_Afdeling1_Paragraaf4_Artikel42\">legally required<\/a> to make an educational report of a student when the student moves to another school. This happens, for example, in group 8 or when the student changes primary school during the year.<\/p>\n<h3>What is in the educational report?<\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/wetten.overheid.nl\/BWBR0031619\/2022-08-01#Paragraaf2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">decision on exchanging learning and guidance data<\/a> states which data can be transferred. It has five parts:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Administrative data, such as name, birthdate, and address.<\/li>\n<li>Data about learning results and education history. This includes school changes, reports, the results of tests aimed at further education such as the secondary school transition test, and the school advice. It also includes the wishes of the child and parents.<\/li>\n<li>Data about social-emotional development and behavior. This includes information on learning\/work attitude, concentration, perseverance, and independence.<\/li>\n<li>Data about support the child receives at school. This relates to obstacles, diagnosed limitations, and the allowed and given support. Sometimes it is important for education to know about serious events or the home situation.<\/li>\n<li>Absence data from the year before the educational report.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Parents&#8217; rights<\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/wetten.overheid.nl\/BWBR0003420\/2025-08-01#HoofdstukI_TiteldeelII_Afdeling1_Paragraaf4_Artikel42\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">law on primary education<\/a> states that parents get a copy of the educational report. Schools must inform parents actively about the content. Parents also have other <a href=\"https:\/\/wp-staging.oudersenonderwijs.nl\/kennisbank\/privacy-en-leerlinggegevens\/leerlinggegevens\/inzage-leerlingdossier-en-andere-rechten\/\" rel=\"\">rights<\/a>, such as to view, copy, and correct. It is wise to ask to see the student monitoring system if you plan to change your child&#8217;s school.<\/p>\n<p>If you have questions about the protection of personal data in the educational report or privacy in handling student data, you can also contact the data protection officer.<\/p>\n<h3>Disagree with the content<\/h3>\n<p>Sometimes there is something in the educational report that should not be there or that you disagree with. No more data than needed can be shared for good guidance and education by the new school. If you disagree with the content, first talk to the school. You can ask to have some data removed, for example if it is no longer relevant or clearly incorrect. Information about the student&#8217;s social-emotional development and behavior is part of the teacher&#8217;s professional autonomy. This cannot be removed, but you can always add your remarks and opinion to the report.<\/p>\n<p>If you cannot agree with the school or the school governing body, you can file a complaint under the school&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/wp-staging.oudersenonderwijs.nl\/kennisbank\/school-organisatie\/klachten\/de-klachtenregeling-op-school\/\">complaint procedure<\/a>. Privacy issues can also be raised with the data protection officer of the school. If you cannot agree with the school and the data protection officer and the school does not follow privacy laws, you can also file a complaint with the data protection authority. This process often takes much longer.<\/p>\n<h3>Time of transfer<\/h3>\n<p>The school ensures the educational report reaches the new school. The school decides when to transfer the report. The new school cannot refuse the student without a good reason.
