Parents are involved through the school participation council.","inhoud":"<h3>Division in primary school<\/h3>\n<p>Primary schools decide the composition and division of groups themselves. Most schools work with age groups: children of the same age are in the same group. But <a href=\"https:\/\/wp-staging.oudersenonderwijs.nl\/kennisbank\/school-organisatie\/groepsindeling\/combinatieklas\/\">a combined class<\/a> with children of different ages is also possible. Criteria for dividing a class can be your child&#8217;s performance and progress, the balance between boys and girls, or sometimes the friendships between pupils.<\/p>\n<h3>Division in secondary education<\/h3>\n<p>In secondary school, pupils are divided by level: vmbo, havo or vwo. The year and the chosen track are also important. Some lessons are taken with the group of pupils who choose the same track. Many pupils also take the required general subjects together in larger classes. The school decides how the classes are divided. Besides level and subjects, the timetable possibilities also play a role in the final division.<\/p>\n<h3>Disagree with the group division<\/h3>\n<p>The school has the final say about the distribution of pupils over the different classes or groups. For the school, dividing the classes is often a difficult puzzle. The school looks for the best solution for most pupils. This solution is often not ideal for everyone. Parents who disagree can always discuss this with the school.
