It is familiar for many parents. When they call the Education Inspectorate with a complaint, they are told that individual cases are not handled. That can be a source of frustration. Angry Parents hope a joint complaint makes a difference and does not escape the attention of the inspectorate.<\/p>\n
The latter is difficult anyway, because the parents will personally come to the office of the Education Inspectorate in Utrecht on 20 January. It is a thorn in the side for the parents that nothing is registered when parents report their child does not get Tailored Education. The education inspectorate checks too little on compliance with the duty of care. In case of a violation, a corrective order takes place, but it is uncertain whether a suitable school for the pupil is found.<\/p>\n
Although the introduction of the law Tailored Education aimed to reduce students who stay at home, the reality is more stubborn. Official figures show the Netherlands has more than 13,000 students who stay at home and this number increases yearly. Angry Parents claim that the exact number could be much higher. Children often go partly to school or are registered as sick.<\/p>\n
