Distance education can be organized in different ways. Many schools allow students to follow lessons online or assign a teacher to provide lessons for students who are at home. There are also technical options with robots in the classroom or written lesson programs. The school decides how distance education is provided. This is the responsibility of the school governing body. The school is also responsible for offering education to all students, including those who need distance education now.<\/p>\n
It Is important that the school keeps real contact with the student during distance education. This is usually done by the regular teacher or another teacher assigned for this. This teacher can guide and support the student remotely in their learning process. This also includes checking if the student actually follows the agreed education and does not miss classes.<\/p>\n
Contact with classmates is also important. This can be done by letting a student follow lessons (partly) online or, if possible, having homework brought by classmates so they can have a chat. Parents must also put in effort and support at home for homeschooling. Make good agreements about this. Often tools like a computer are needed for distance education. If none is available at home, the school or municipality can help find a solution.<\/p>\n
