Minister Slob explicitly asks municipalities to pay attention to children who stay at home and are therefore not visible to a school.","inhoud":"

In a letter to the municipalities Slob writes: \u2018You can take action for children who are subject to compulsory education but stay at home. I do not only mean the relatively truant students, but especially children who are not visible to schools at all, because they are not registered (the homebound children with absolute truancy). I ask you to also commit to them together with the Partnership Tailored Education.\u2019<\/p>\n

Multi-year plan and school participation council<\/strong><\/h3>\n

All schools have mapped the level of the students through a school scan. With this, the schools look at how they will support their students and what they need for that. The school can choose from a menu with different forms of support and measures. The chosen measures from the menu are placed by the school in a multi-year plan and show how the extra money is spent. The school participation council agrees with this. The guideline \u2018Proactively working on NP Education\u2019<\/a> helps school leaders and school participation councils to jointly go through the NP Education process.<\/p>\n

Conversation about every student<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The school now knows how each child is doing. There is a conversation with every student and their parent(s). Together the school, parent(s), and student look at the best approach for the future. This is not only about learning development, but also the social-emotional development and the wellbeing of the child. Parents can prepare for this conversation with a special conversation guide that will soon be available for download on this website<\/a>. It contains example questions that you can discuss beforehand at home with your child.<\/p>\n

Homebound children in view<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Minister Slob asks the municipalities in his letter<\/a> to give extra attention to the children who are not visible to the schools. These children do not go to school and sometimes are not registered at a school. These children can also use the program and the related budget. Together with the Partnership Tailored Education the municipalities can make a difference for these homebound children and develop an offer for them.<\/p>\n

Contact<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Homebound children who are still registered at a school can go to the school for the NPO. If a child is no longer registered (or has exemption), contact can be made with the municipality (social district team) or Partnership Tailored Education.<\/p>\n
