Due to medical problems, there can be situations, sometimes on advice from the treating (child) doctor, where pupils do not go to school. If this is the case, the rules that also apply to sick pupils must be followed.<\/p>\n

School obligation<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The school is responsible to provide sufficient education properly. But the school also decides how this is arranged. If parents find this insufficient, they can report it to the Education Inspectorate<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Framework for action<\/strong><\/h3>\n

According to the framework for action, it is important that involved organizations, such as the school, youth doctor, and attendance officer, make workable agreements with parents about the best way to provide education to the child. If there is a difference of opinion, it is important to keep talking and look for solutions. It is undesirable to force a child to go to school by pressure or coercion (like a report or notification to Safe Home).<\/p>\n
