Good collaboration with school<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The collaboration between School participation councils and school is usually good. In most School participation councils (88%), the implementation of the National Program Tailored Education at the school was discussed. And 82% of the School participation councils were asked for agreement or have this on the agenda. Moreover, 57% of the School participation council members say their input is taken seriously. One in five School participation councils say they experience the collaboration as poor. These School participation council members say they are not involved, have to try too hard to receive a plan, or disagree with the school management.<\/p>\n

Information provision<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Of the parents in the School participation council, 30% need more information about the spending of the money for the National Program Tailored Education. There are guidelines, but these reach parents insufficiently. Extra training could be done via a website, a guideline, or following a webinar. The staff members in the School participation council are better informed. They know they have the right to agree on the implementation of the National Program Tailored Education and are familiar with one or more of the guidelines.<\/p>\n

Staff involved more often than parents<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Information provision to parents outside the School participation council can also improve. No less than 74% of the School participation councils did not involve parents outside the council in the process. While 90% of the staff was consulted.<\/p>\n

About the survey<\/strong><\/h3>\n

235 School participation council members participated in this survey: 154 parents, 69 staff members, and 12 students. They joined via the Landelijk Ouderpanel<\/a> or the open questionnaire.
