It means that students with cold symptoms can go to school if their self-test is negative. The OMT advised this based on recent scientific research, and the caretaker cabinet accepts the advice. Only if your child has severe symptoms should they stay home. Severe symptoms are fever combined with coughing and sneezing. Children with chronic cold symptoms can go to school anyway.<\/p>\n
If the self-test result is positive, people must still do a GGD test to confirm the result. If the GGD test is also positive, the GGD will start source and contact tracing. You also need a GGD test to get a recovery certificate.<\/p>\n
If the self-test result is negative, it is still important to follow the basic rules, like washing hands and keeping distance. A negative self-test does not 100% rule out corona. If symptoms continue, it is important to do another self-test the next day. If symptoms get worse, or people lose smell or taste, they need to make a GGD appointment.<\/p>\n
