We have expressed appreciation for the (national) process. But there are certainly still issues that deserve a more targeted approach. For example, the duty of care is still too often not fulfilled and too many parents face pressure and force when there is no Tailored Education place.<\/p>\n

Solving structural problems<\/h3>\n

The core is that the current education system is under pressure. Classes are often overcrowded and teachers face a high workload. There is also a lack of expert support and teachers are often not sufficiently equipped to teach children who need extra help. What is needed is a concrete plan that invests in smaller classes, more hands in the classroom and enough educational support staff in all schools.<\/p>\n

Focus on learning rights and other forms of education<\/h3>\n

Further stronger improvements are needed to strengthen the position of parents, promote learning rights and more flexible forms of education. Changes and broader application of education legislation, the compulsory education law, education funding and the supervision framework are urgently needed for more opportunities for distance education and education at other locations than school. We have long advocated for learning rights instead of compulsory education. We will continue to work on this.<\/p>\n

Budget needed to implement improvement plans<\/h3>\n

The entire evaluation did not mention financial resources for implementing the plans. We find that worrying. The Westerveld motion to allocate 3 million for the improvement agenda is a first step. Certainly with the goal of more inclusive education on the horizon, structurally much more is needed.<\/p>\n

Input<\/h3>\n
