The funds for the National Program Tailored Education were first only available for students at a school. But now also for children not registered at a school: WEL in development is the name of this plan.","inhoud":"<p>Many of these young people and families have been through a lot and often face complex situations. The goal of the project is to help these youths reduce the distance to education and bring them back to development. Enrollment in education is not the goal itself. Sometimes young people and parents discover development opportunities themselves, but these are not recognized. Or development is offered from care and not from education. This valuable activity, this development that is there, is what the project wants to support.<\/p>\n<h3>Which group<\/h3>\n<p>Which group of youths? It is about children and youths with an exemption from compulsory education on the basis of article 5 under a and for youths not registered at a school and who have no exemption for that (absolute truancy).<\/p>\n<h3>Execution<\/h3>\n<p>The execution of the plan goes through the Partnership Tailored Education. They can soon apply for the funds. Ingrado, Gedragswerk and Support Team Duty of Care for Youth support the Partnership Tailored Education. In total, 75 regions will start. In each region the focus is on 5 young people. In interviews, parents, youths and involved professionals tell how they see the exemption, what development is already there, what contributed to it and what they think is still possible. Meanwhile the parties encourage the national dialogue. So that youths not in the project also benefit.<\/p>\n<h3>Subsidy scheme<\/h3>\n<p>The subsidy scheme is expected to be published in early July. Partnership Tailored Education can apply for a subsidy until 30 September 2022. The subsidy amount depends on the size (number of students) of the Partnership Tailored Education. The funds can be used directly or indirectly. Direct spending for a concrete support need of a youth can be either immaterial (course, training, homework guidance) or material (textbooks, adapted desk). The indirect spending looks at at least five cases of youths who stay home. These funds can be used to talk and keep talking with unregistered children and youths and their parents, explore the possibilities for learning and development together and if possible use these directly. Also for the deployment and cooperation of local partners to make more education possible.<\/p>\n<h3>Parent organizations<\/h3>\n<p>Together with other parent organizations including Oudervereniging Balans, Ouders &#038; Onderwijs argued that the funds should also be used for the direct support of these youths. For example, it was said that a course, training or homework guidance could be useful. But also textbooks, participation in school activities or support by a social worker. This direct and practical use of funds is now also possible. This is independent of whether a youth participates in the talks in the region. It also does not affect the education exemption.<\/p>\n<h3>What should you do?<\/h3>\n<p>If your child is not registered at a school and you want to use this opportunity, contact the compulsory education officer or the Partnership Tailored Education. Because the subsidy scheme starts only in fall, you may have to wait a bit.
