Together with other organizations, Ouders & Onderwijs argued that children who do not go to school should also have this right. With success. Because to support this group, the subsidy scheme WEL in development has started.","inhoud":"

The goal is to help young people who are not currently registered at a school to reduce the distance to education and support their development. It concerns both children who have an exemption from the Compulsory Education Act and children who do not have such an exemption. These children and their families have already experienced a lot. Often it involves situations with a long and complex history.<\/p>\n

Which group?<\/h3>\n

It concerns young people with an exemption from the Compulsory Education Act under article 5 under a and young people who are not registered and do not have an exemption for it (absolute truancy).<\/p>\n

What happens next?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The scheme runs until July 2025. Partnerships Tailored Education could register for participation last summer. In the region, talks can take place with young people, parents, and involved professionals. But there can also be a choice for direct support for the young person himself. In this way, the current development is looked at and what else is possible. Then it becomes clear how the support for these young people can be shaped. This could be teaching materials or a course. It is explicitly intended that it does not remain at talking only and that the support is actually applied.<\/p>\n

Are you considering participating in WEL in development? If you choose this, it has no consequences for the education exemption. For participation, contact the attendance officer or the Partnership Tailored Education in your region.<\/p>\n
