Now the cabinet formation enters a new phase education will also be negotiated.","inhoud":"<p>A number of important choices must be made. In the end parents, schools and teachers want the same: the best education for every child. In a joint letter to the informateur we emphasize that now is the time to take the right steps.<\/p>\n<h3>Recommendations<\/h3>\n<p>The letter to the informateur contains among others these recommendations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Parents deserve an important place in education: more mandatory parent consultations; strong school participation council and small scale schools.<\/li>\n<li>Good education for every child: structural investment in teachers; smaller classes; healthy buildings; control over affordable teaching materials.<\/li>\n<li>Tailored Education must really be tailored: smaller classes; good housing; sufficient expertise; right to education also outside the regular route; better student transport.<\/li>\n<li>Fair chances to continue learning: later selection; cooperation education\u2013childcare; more progression\/staggering in secondary education; one central Secondary school transition test.<\/li>\n<li>More attention for parents in mbo: mandatory parent councils &#038; school participation council; free education for underage mbo students incl. materials; abolish binding study advice.<\/li>\n<li>Free education: all necessary teaching materials free; abolish parent contribution in primary education and limit &#038; make transparent in secondary education.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Lobke Vlaming, director Ouders &#038; Onderwijs<\/em>: \u2018Good education is in the interest of all children and their parents. Therefore we expect that education will be high on the agenda during the formation in the coming weeks. As parent organizations we see that real steps need to be taken in education in the coming years. The teacher shortage, too early selection and failing tailored education require priority from politics.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>The letter to the informateur is sent by Ouders &#038; Onderwijs, Stichting
