At Stichting Ouders & Onderwijs we help parents every day with questions about their child's education. We listen, give independent, constructive, reliable and free advice, help parents get an overview of their situation and show parents the right paths. This helps parents and schools because timely advice can prevent many problems.

Together we create constructive solutions

Too often, parents find us only when problems are very big. Or they do not know Ouders & Onderwijs exists. Sometimes feelings run high and a solution seems further away than needed. This happens to parents, teachers, and school staff. That is a shame because timely advice can prevent many problems and relieve parents and teachers. At our advice point, parents talk directly to one of our colleagues and we take time. We listen to parents, give space for their feelings, and guide them toward a constructive solution. That is why it is important for parents to know about us.

At stichting Ouders & Onderwijs you can get independent advice and a listening ear. They help you with questions about all education topics. Such as repeating a year, tailored education, bullying, and more. They are free to contact on every workday and have a website full of useful information.

Inform professionals about Ouders & Onderwijs

The importance of parent involvement

Parents and school have the same goal: the best education for children. By working together, you make each other stronger. As a school, it is important to realize that all parents are involved in their child in their own way.

Some parents are often at school to help with many things. Other parents come to school less but help a lot with homework at home. And some parents seem absent but simply do not know where to start or what is expected from them. Schools need to be flexible for this. It is not always easy, but it is very important.

Because good cooperation between parents and school helps the child. Children feel better at school, perform better, and it is easier to get contact when problems arise.
