Research: Half Of The Children Do Not Poop On School Toilets

Research by the Landelijk Ouderpanel shows that half of the children do not poop at school, especially in secondary education. This often leads to stomach problems. Dirty toilets, lack of privacy, and smoking or vaping are main causes. There is a call for better school toilets.

Incorrect test advice, what now?

Due to an error in the calculation of the final test, some of the pupils who took the final test this year received an incorrect test advice. What do parents think about the teacher shortage?

Ask parents what the most decisive factor is for the quality of education and the answer is simple: the teacher. Parents are also worried about the increasing teacher shortage and the workload teachers experience. A third of the parents already deal with canceled lessons, crowded classes, or even a structural four-day school week. The vast majority of parents also support the strike demands of the teachers. This is shown by research from Ouders & Onderwijs among members of the Landelijk Ouderpanel.

Final test becomes part of school advice again

Students get the school advice in February. The school advice is given before the student takes the final test in April or May. Government parties D66, VVD and CDA want to reverse the order. Group 8 students should only get the school advice when the final test results are known. Ouders & Onderwijs agrees with this plan.

Youth doctor largely known by parents

At the end of last year we did a short study about how well people know the work of the youth doctor. This study was made with the GGD-Twente. We work together to use the youth doctor better for children at school. Parents And Students Not Happy With Toilet Hygiene At Schools

The hygiene leaves much to be desired in many schools. This appears from research commissioned by Essity. 67% of the teachers receive complaints from pupils about hygiene at school. Half are also approached by the parents about this. Most complaints are about smells and dirty toilet seats. The problem is especially present in old buildings.
