Staat van de Ouder 2026: coming soon

On april 14, 2026 we launch the Staat van de Ouder 2026. We collected parents’ opinions about education on digitalization in education. We asked parents their opinion about social media, screen time, digital skills at school and A.I.

Do parents think they are informed about the online world of their child? Does school involve them enough in the developments of artificial intelligence in education? And do parents themselves actually monitor their child when it comes to digital skills. That and much more you will read soon in the Staat van de Ouder 2026.

Staat van de Ouder 2024 - ode to the parent

The negative image of parents does not do justice to the real practice: most parents are a great support for their children and the school. Parents are generally very positive about the relationship with the school. They like to help with various activities and think along in the school participation council. Are there points for improvement? Certainly. But it is clear as day that parents and education together achieve the best for all children. In this report we pay tribute to all parents.

Staat van de Ouder 2023 - ode to the teacher

Staat van de Ouder 2023 - ode to the teacher

According to parents, the teacher determines the quality of education. That affects the atmosphere in the classroom and the space to develop at one’s own pace. This quality is often good, especially in primary education. Among parents with children in secondary education, however, there is a declining trend in appreciation of education quality. In this report, we conducted broad research on various themes.
