Reasons to change primary school

There can be many reasons to change primary school: a move, a different view on the policy or how things are done at school, a conflict, or because your child no longer wants to go to that school. 

When 

The best time to change schools is at the end of the school year, but this is not always possible for you and your child. It is not required; children can also change primary schools during the school year. 

Register new school 

If you want to change, it is up to you to find a new primary school that accepts your child. Once you find one, you register your child at the new school and the school then unregisters your child. The municipality gets notification of the deregistration. When moving to another school, the old school must make an educational report and give it to the new school. This is arranged in the law on primary education in article 42.
