Most parents have no idea which political party has the best education plans. This appears from research by Ouders & Onderwijs. The research was about parents' opinion on the role of education during the elections.

Best education plan? Parents have no idea 

The research asked which political party parents thought had the best education plans. 58% of parents said they did not know which party had the best plans. Some parents already know which party they prefer. D66 (10%), PVV (8%), and GL-PvdA (7%) are most often named as favorites. 

Majority says: more attention for education 

The research also shows that 75% of parents think that education should get more attention in politics. For 57% of parents, education plays a role in their vote choice. For 22% of parents, education is even one of the most important themes that decide their vote. 

Teacher shortage, Tailored Education, and class size are the most important education topics for politics according to parents.  

Education is really a blind spot for politics and the media during this campaign.

These parents want to weigh the education plans of politics in their vote, but they need to know what they can expect from politics in the coming years.
