Ouders & Onderwijs seeks a member for the supervisory board. As a member, you oversee the achievement of the foundation's goals, the managing director's performance, and the integrity and quality of financial reporting.

Stichting Ouders & Onderwijs informs and advises parents with children of school age (4-18 years) who have questions about education and represents parent interests in the education sector. Ouders & Onderwijs has 18 employees and is located in Utrecht. Ouders & Onderwijs has a governance model with a supervisory board, a managing director, and a school participation council. We are currently looking for one new member.

Job profile

The supervisory board oversees the achievement of the foundation’s goals, the managing director’s performance, and the integrity and quality of financial reporting. The supervisory board acts as a focus group for the board and can give advice both when asked and on its own initiative. The supervisory board meets at least four times a year. The supervisory board works with an audit committee and a nomination and remuneration committee. The new member of the supervisory board also becomes a member of the audit committee.

Profile

• Legal and financial knowledge;
• Knowledge of and affinity with education and the position of parents in this;
• Political, social, and strategic insight;
• Relevant network with public and private organizations;
• Ability to have a helicopter view of the field and stakeholders of Ouders & Onderwijs;
• Experience with a supervisory role in social organizations;
• Ability to give constructive critical feedback on the board’s and organization’s performance.
