Do you like to write clear and appealing texts? And do you look at text with a sharp and creative eye? Do you find education important and like to see it from the perspective of parents? Then we are looking for you.

For Ouders & Onderwijs we are looking for a temporary online editor. You will work in a small organization with involved colleagues. You get a lot of freedom and responsibility and work largely independently.

What will you do?

As an online editor you work in the communications team. You ensure that parents get good and current information about education and about the work of Ouders & Onderwijs.

You are involved in:

• Writing and managing texts on our website. Together with colleagues you work on clear and informative knowledge base texts and make sure the news is always current.
• Contributing to the further development of our website.
• Following news and developments in education and in the media. You ensure that Ouders & Onderwijs responds to this.
• Making and sending our biweekly newsletter.
• Maintaining contact with cooperation partners in the field of communication.
• Editing letters, documents and other texts.

Who are you?

You are curious, involved and take initiative yourself. You can switch quickly, work flexibly and think in solutions. You work independently, look critically at texts and know when to involve colleagues.

You quickly make new and sometimes complex subjects your own. You write convincingly and know how to bring educational subjects to attention in an accessible way. You check texts carefully and can empathize well with the world of parents and school.

What do you bring?

• At least 1 year of work experience in a communication role.
• Experience with writing and editing, especially for websites, but also for newsletters, campaigns and formal letters.
• You actively follow new digital developments and learn them quickly.
• Affinity with education and the perspective of parents.
• A completed mbo or hbo education in communication or a similar direction.

Where will you work?

Ouders & Onderwijs is there for all parents with children of school age. We are a small organization with an enthusiastic and involved team. Everyone has their own expertise and works largely independently. Together we have a lot of knowledge and experience.

We work in an informal and pleasant atmosphere, with attention for each other. Our office is located next to a green courtyard, a 10-minute walk from Utrecht Central. Partial home working is possible.

What do we offer you?

• A temporary employment contract of 28–36 hours per week, from 1 September 2026 to 1 February 2027.
• A salary between € 3,000 and € 3,500 gross per month (based on 36 hours), depending on education and experience.
• Many holiday hours: 33 vacation days for a full-time contract.
• We are looking for someone who will join us as an employee (no self-employed).

Ouders & Onderwijs does two things: we help parents and represent parents.

We help parents with information and advice about everything related to education. In addition, we represent parents towards politics, the education sector and in the media.

Through our Landelijk Ouderpanel, with more than 9,500 connected parents, we know well what plays and lives among parents.
