Privacy statement Ouders & Onderwijs

Ouders & Onderwijs values the protection of your personal data. In this privacy statement, we want to give clear and transparent information about how we handle personal data.

We do everything to protect your privacy and handle your personal data carefully. As Ouders & Onderwijs, we are responsible for processing your personal data. Ouders & Onderwijs always follows the applicable laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation. This means that Ouders & Onderwijs always:

  • Processes your personal data in line with the purpose for which it was given;
  • Limits data processing to only the data needed for the purpose;
  • Only processes personal data if there is a legal basis;
  • Has taken suitable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data;
  • Does not share your data without your clear permission unless needed to apply the agreement with Ouders & Onderwijs or if the law requires it;
  • Does not keep your data longer than strictly necessary to reach the goals or as law requires. Emails are kept for 1 year.

Personal data

The privacy policy applies to data from visits and use of the Ouders & Onderwijs website, newsletter sign-ups, network participation, the focus group, and information given by phone or email. We do not store personal data from parents who call us.

Education consultants

Ouders & Onderwijs and Education consultants share personal data only in specific cases, for example, call-back requests. This happens only when needed, within privacy law limits and with clear permission from the caller.

All Ouders & Onderwijs websites collect general visitor data. Visitors are not identified. Data includes the most visited pages. The goal is to improve website design. This data can also help to give more focused information. This way, Ouders & Onderwijs can serve you better.

This privacy statement does not apply to third-party websites linked from this site, such as social media buttons. Ouders & Onderwijs cannot guarantee that these third parties handle your personal data safely or reliably.

Satisfaction survey

We want to know what you think about our service. We do a satisfaction survey to improve our work. This privacy statement applies to the survey. Only if you agree, we will send you the questions and process your answers. Your answers are handled anonymously. We use your contact details only for this and keep them safe. After the survey and at least six months after, or when you ask, we will delete them. The survey results are never linked to your personal data.

National parent panel

The national parent panel is an online group where participants (parents) give their opinion on parenting and education. We process personal data for this. You can find how we handle it here. Ouders & Onderwijs owns the national parent panel and is responsible for your privacy protection as explained in this statement.

Data from visitors on www.landelijkouderpanel.nl

When visiting www.landelijkouderpanel.nl, general visitor data is kept with Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager: such as daily visitor count, clicked links, and device used. We use these tools to analyse and improve the website. We ask permission before using all non-essential cookies.

The data collected by Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager is sent to Google and stored on servers in Ireland. Google can share this data with others if required by law or if those others work for Google. We have no influence on this. More about Google Analytics data can be found in their privacy policy. Pseudonymised IP addresses are deleted after one year at most.

Processing personal data when joining the national parent panel

If you join the national parent panel, we process various data, including your and your child’s contact and background data. We keep this data in a secure database and ask for clear permission during registration. You must provide an email and/or phone number and your child’s birth year. Other data is optional; you choose what to share. We use your data for:

  • Inviting you personally to surveys
  • Inviting you to surveys that fit your situation
  • Making and interpreting survey results representative
  • Contacting you for recruitment or detailed information if you agree

Sharing national parent panel personal data

We treat all given data with strict confidence and secure your personal data. Your answers stay anonymous. We never report on individual level.

We share personal data only with parties who need it to carry out the surveys. We have agreements with these parties about data processing.

We do not share your data with other parties or use it to sell anything. After you leave the national parent panel, we delete your data within two months.

How we protect your personal data in the national parent panel

Your data is well protected against misuse. It is stored in a database on a server secured by firewalls, authentication, and encryption. You can view and correct your data. The survey web app is also secured by authentication. We use software with security settings to prevent loss, misuse, or change of information. Only authorised staff have access and use data only for work, analysis, and quality control.

Viewing and deleting national parent panel personal data

You have the right to view and delete your data. You can change your data anytime on your personal page or by contacting vraag@oudersenonderwijs.nl.

You can ask to delete your answers during or after a survey. If possible, we will do this.

After you leave the panel, your personal data is deleted in two months. Survey data stays anonymous in the database.

Supervision
