Central final test in 2019 not digitally available.
All pupils in group 8 take a final test at the end of the year. Schools can choose from several different final tests. There is important news for schools that would take the Central Final Test in 2019. The digital adaptive version will not be taken in 2019.
Change in one of the final tests
Schools can choose from different final tests. The final test can be taken in different ways. Some schools take the test on paper, but the test can also be taken digitally. A digital test is sometimes adaptive: it adjusts the questions automatically to the pupil’s level. The more questions the pupil answers correctly, the harder the questions become. This way pupils are tested at their own level. One of these tests, the digital adaptive version of the Central Final Test, will not be taken in 2019. The paper version is available. Schools that would choose the digital test must make a new choice.
Paper version or other test
Schools can still use the paper version of the Central Final Test in 2019. If the school wants to test digitally, they can also choose one of the other final tests. It does not matter for the test result whether your child takes the digital or paper version. Only the way of testing is different.
Parents join the discussion about the change
Taking a different final test or taking the final test differently means a change in education. Parents discuss this in the school participation council .
