Every year on april 1 you have to be careful again. Jokes are made everywhere, also at school. From bad jokes to hilarious stunts: on april 1 you can be surprised at any moment.

1. Chairs facing the other way
What a surprise when everyone enters the classroom in the morning! The chairs suddenly all stand backwards behind the tables. This of course causes many surprised reactions from the children.
2. Erasing mistakes with candy
During the lesson, you want to erase your mistakes. But instead of erasers, all pupils find colorful sweets! This is a sweet surprise that everyone could also laugh about.
3. Whiteboard erasers and square rulers
Play a joke on your pupils by asking them to get things that don’t exist. Send them out for a purple and blue spotted pen, a whiteboard eraser, or a square ruler. Are you curious how long it takes before the children find out this does not exist?
4. Making up missed school time in the summer holiday
The ministry of Education, Culture and Science also takes part in april 1 jokes. In a letter to all parents, they said that missed school time during the corona period must be made up. The pupil has to make this up in the summer holiday. Luckily it was only a joke!

Some pupils quickly noticed that the (wireless) keyboards of the computers were swapped. Typing is suddenly a big challenge if letters appear on a screen on the other side of the classroom.
9. Colored sandwiches
There were colored sandwiches in the canteen! The sandwiches all got a few drops of food coloring, which made lunch a cheerful, colorful event.
10. Bright lights
A message went around school that all pupils must bring sunglasses. The lights of the projector are replaced and are now too bright to look at. Standing in front of the class with such a view was never so fun.
