Flag days exam candidates.

It is a tense day today. Students of vmbo (theoretical and mixed pathways), havo and vwo get the result of the central written exam. If they pass, the flag can of course go out! Students of vmbo framework and basic must wait a little longer and hear on Wednesday, June 15 whether they passed.

On flag day, successful exam candidates put the flag out. They celebrate that they have gotten their diploma. Normally, everyone who takes the regular exam hears the result on the same day, but this year that is not the case. Due to the corona period, exam rules have been eased and students can spread their exams over two periods. This means there is less time to set the exams, or to determine how many points a student needs to pass.

If your child has not passed yet, he or she will hear today for which subject a retake is needed. On July 1, it will be announced if he or she passed.

July flag month for state exam candidates

There are also exam candidates who do not (any longer) go to a regular secondary school but do take exams in one or more subjects. These state exam candidates get, as every year, their results at different times. There is no single result day for state exams: candidates hear if they passed after the last exam they took. Because of the different result days, a flag month is organized again in July, as in past years. As soon as the result is known for an individual candidate or all candidates of a school have heard their results, the flag can go out.
