How do you think the ministry of education is doing?.

Do you want to talk with the Ministry of Education about how they can better lead education? Then come to one of the regional meetings where you and your child can be heard.

Do you want to talk with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW) about how it leads education? Or about who can make choices in the school and how the ministry can make sure it is clear what the money is spent on at your child’s school? Then you are welcome to one of the regional meetings that will be held at the end of January 2024.

Your voice is valuable

After a study among different ministries, the ministry of OCW announced that it will review again how to keep quality and equal chances in primary education and secondary education. In this evaluation they look at:

• From what ideas does OCW lead education?
• Who must take part in deciding choices in the school and what is needed for that?
• How do we make sure education money is well spent and that everyone knows what choices are made?
• What can we improve in how working conditions are set now?

Regional meetings

Because experiences and ideas from education itself and especially from students are important here, OCW organizes in January 2024 four meetings to discuss these questions together with you. There will be three physical meetings and one digital meeting. The meetings are on these dates:

January 25     16:00 – 20:00 in Zwolle, walk-in from 15:30 (physical)

January 29     16:00 – 20:00 in Eindhoven, walk-in from 15:30 (physical)

January 30     16:00 – 20:00 in Rotterdam, walk-in from 15:30 (physical)

January 31      19:00 – 21:00 (digital via Teams)

A meal will also be provided during the physical meetings.
