Director Lobke Vlaming says goodbye to Ouders & Onderwijs.

Lobke Vlaming stops after eight years as director-governor of Ouders & Onderwijs. As of November 1, she will start working as director-governor of the Youth Education Fund. Her efforts have meant an extraordinary amount for parents with school-age children.

From start-up phase to professional impactful organization 

Lobke Vlaming joined in 2018 as director and succeeded the first director. Under her leadership, Ouders & Onderwijs grew into a professionally operating organization that powerfully makes the voice of parents heard. She led the organization to take big steps in connecting parent initiatives, representing parents in the education sector, and helping more than 10,000 parents annually with information and advice. Ouders & Onderwijs became a party that, on behalf of parents, strongly advocated for better tailored education, student transport, education quality, and equal opportunities, both openly and behind the scenes.

Succession   

Lobke Vlaming will start as director-governor of the Youth Education Fund as of November 1, 2026. In her new role, she will work together with schools and partners to promote development opportunities for children growing up in poverty. We fully support her in her choice and wish her much success in her new position. 

The supervisory board is very grateful for her commitment. A proper farewell will be held in the autumn. The procedure for recruiting a new director-governor will start as soon as possible.
