Optional subjects.
The primary school can add optional subjects like French, German, religion. Parents can join the school participation council to discuss these subjects with the school.
Own policy
The school can add learning areas as it sees fit. The school also decides how lessons are given and what teaching materials are used. The law does not say how a school must teach. Many schools want to teach and develop your child in other areas too. These include social, cultural and physical skills. Some examples are:
- a good work attitude
- standing up for their own opinion
- listening and reacting with respect
- developing self-confidence
- taking responsibility
- distinguishing facts and opinions
