An orthopedagogical didactic centre is a cross-school facility connected to a partnership Tailored Education. The students who use the services of the orthopedagogical didactic centre are registered at regular secondary schools. The schools in the partnership tailored education are responsible for the housing and funding of the orthopedagogical didactic centre.

Breaking patterns

The facility offers a bridge where stuck patterns can be broken. The student gets the chance during a few weeks to months to understand their behavior and work on it. Education and care are offered together. If possible, the student returns to the old school, but sometimes placement at another school in the partnership tailored education is chosen.

Program

The student follows a program focused on education and behavior change. The goal is to return to regular education as soon as possible, preferably at the own school, or otherwise at another school in the partnership tailored education. The program the student follows is tailored and written down in an individual work plan. When leaving, the student gets solid advice about the best next step and a final report with recommendations. In many cases, rebound offers follow-up support to ease the return and keep the results achieved at the orthopedagogical didactic centre in secondary education.
