Buyback scheme unused school books mbo.

Since 2021 every mbo school must buy back unused textbooks. How does this work? And what rules apply? You can read it here.

Expensive books lie unused on the shelf

If you spent a lot of money on expensive textbooks, they often lie unused on the shelf. Such a waste, right? The JOB mbo received many complaints about this so they took action. From the school year 2021/2022 a mandatory buyback scheme was agreed. This means all mbo schools must buy back unused books and materials.

When is a book unused?

A book is unused if it was not needed in lessons and was not used for reference. The school can also expect the book to be undamaged. Each mbo school can add its own requirements and conditions in the scheme.

Buyback scheme at every mbo school

Every mbo school must have a buyback scheme. You can find this on the website or via the mbo school’s digital environment. The scheme says when a book is unused and how you can claim your money back. Not every mbo school has a clear scheme yet. Can you not find any information? Then contact JOB mbo.
