Briefing vlog from parents, for parents.
How incredible great that you want to work on a beautiful film.
In this briefing you can read more information about recording a vlog.
These are strange times. Many parents combine their work with giving home education to their children. That is quite a challenge. Ouders & Onderwijs wants to support all parents. And we need your help!
We would like you to make a vlog about a fun, funny, or challenging moment from your day. What does home education look like in your family? How do you combine this with your work? Do your children also peek at the computer screen during a video call with colleagues? Or do they take over your laptop for a call with the teacher? Do you retreat to the laundry room or call colleagues from the garage? In short, we would like to see a part of your day. You may also compliment other parents. We do this together! Do you and your children want to participate in this video? Then send us your vlog:
From all the fun, funny, and recognizable vlogs, we will make a film. With this film, we want to show parents they are not alone. We all work together on this challenge. Hopefully, the familiar scenes bring a smile to parents and the encouraging words give new energy.
What do you film for your vlog?
- Film a moment from your day. Think of waking up, making a plan, gym class, maybe doing morning exercises together? Doing homework or a moment when you as a parent try to combine your work with giving home education. We want to see not only the successful moments but also the less successful moments. Because for many parents this situation is quite hard, tiring, and stressful. By sharing those moments, we show parents they are not alone.
- Because we at Ouders & Onderwijs like to see school moments. But it is also nice if you film another recognizable, fun, or funny moment. For example, how do you try to take a break? Do you lock yourself in the toilet? Or do you put in earplugs and pretend you do not hear the children?
- End your video with a short, encouraging message for other parents, for example: ‘We do this together!’ ‘No one is alone in this!’ ‘Keep going and also enjoy the extra time together!’ ‘Good luck to all and sometimes take time for yourself!’ Or another positive, fun, or funny message.
- You can tell something yourself, but your children can also say something. A conversation between you and your son or daughter is also welcome. All footage is welcome!
- Your vlog may be one video or you can just send us several shorter clips.
Sending your vlog
- You can do this via Whatsapp. Send your vlog to phone number 06-31654431. This method has a big disadvantage: Whatsapp makes your videos smaller. This reduces the quality.
- You can do this via Google Drive. You can add your vlog to this folder in Google Drive. The folder is only accessible to people with the link.
- You can easily send larger files via WeTransfer.com. This can be done easily via a phone or from your computer. These can be sent to chantal.loverbos@oudersenonderwijs.nl
Note: We want to emphasize again that the film has no commercial goal and is not used as advertising. This initiative is started by Ouders & Onderwijs but is made by and for parents. To reach as many parents as possible, the film will be shared on the website and on the social media channels of Ouders & Onderwijs.
