Discussion evening involving child in school dispute.
Is the child’s interest the priority when a dispute occurs between parents and school? Do you involve your child in a dispute at school? Onderwijsgeschillen reviews its own method and asks this question to parents. Do you have experience with a dispute in which you involved your child from the start? Or do you have a clear view on involving the child in a dispute? Sign up and join the online focus group on Monday evening 5 July 2021 from 7 pm to 8.30 pm.
Child’s interest is the priority
Properly weighing the child’s interest in education decisions is a current topic. Together with Onderwijsgeschillen, we organize the focus group on the child’s position in school disputes. We warmly invite you to join this evening. We are especially curious about the child’s role in disputes. Do you think it is important that a child is involved and can speak in a dispute? When and from what age could that happen? When not, because the child may face a loyalty conflict between parents and school? What other solutions are there to include children’s interests? It is about the student’s voice and how parents see that.
Participation
We seek parents who have a clear view on this topic. These can be parents who have had a dispute with school, but that is not necessary! As you understand, we can NOT discuss the content of an ongoing dispute in this focus group. Onderwijsgeschillen wants to hear your ideas on how children can be better involved in dispute or complaint procedures.
Time
The focus group takes place on Monday evening 5 July 2021 from 7 pm to 8.30 pm via Teams. Would you like to contribute to the project and thus to the dispute resolution method of Onderwijsgeschillen? Sign up here.
You will then receive a link to join the discussion on 5 July. Maybe you know other parents who want to share their view. Please share this call in your network!
