Do you also join the discussion about the new national standard for basic support?.

17 June 2024 News

The goal of tailored education is that all students get a place at a school that suits them. Even if they need more support. Despite this clear starting point, it is often still unclear after ten years what schools can and cannot be expected to do. A national standard for basic support ends this uncertainty.

Every school the same support

We want every school in the Netherlands to offer the same basic support. In cooperation with the Algemene Onderwijsbond, Ouders & Onderwijs is busy creating a national standard for basic support. The national standard for basic support clarifies what every school must be able to offer in basic support. This way, parents, teachers, and students see what support they can count on at every school.

Draft national standard for basic support ready

There is now an idea ready for a new national standard for basic support. We would like to hear your opinion about this. This fall, Ouders & Onderwijs and the Algemene Onderwijsbond will submit a new national standard for basic support to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. This will then also be included in the law.
