Masterclass Interaction Between School Governing Body And Partnership Tailored Education

The goal of the masterclass Interaction between school governing body and Partnership Tailored Education is that both parties get more understanding of each other’s role and position in the policy-making process and that it becomes clear what the representative role of the Partnership Tailored Education is towards the constituency. Ultimately, it is about the governing body and participation working together to increase support for the agreed policy and ease its implementation. The law forms the legal framework here, but in practice it is not only about following rules and procedures, but especially about behavior and respect for each other’s role. During the masterclass, the following topics are covered:

• Brief explanation of the legal framework of participation
• The formal and informal role of participation in policy making based on the PDCA cycle
• The relationship between participation and internal/external supervision
• The relationship between participation and the constituency

Masterclass School Leaders And School Participation Council

The goal of this masterclass is for school leaders to gain insight into how they can organize constructive opposition. It is important that the school leader and School participation council align their mutual expectations and work well together to improve the quality of education. In practice, the school leader’s role is crucial in the participation process and the school benefits greatly from a School participation council that acts as a strong counterweight to the governing body and gets the best out of itself and the school organization. The masterclass covers, among other things, the following topics:

• The roles, responsibilities, and relationships
• Aligning the annual plan and activity plan
• Preparing the consultation meeting
• Creating support

Where: The office of the AVS, Herenstraat 25 in Utrecht
