Not all schools open monday due to snowfall.

Door sneeuwval niet alle scholen open

Because of all the snow fun this weekend, you might almost forget that primary schools start again on Monday. Not all parts of the country had the same amount of snow. It depends on the location whether the primary school opens tomorrow. The school decides that, but it is desirable to provide emergency care. Keep a close eye on the school's communication.

The rule is that schools can take measures during persistent frost. The school decides when and what measures. If the school is not reachable, it can start later or not at all. Distance learning can be chosen where possible.

The NOS reports that many schools remain closed. Schools in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Leiden, the regions of Zaanstreek and Waterland, and in the east of the country will stay closed for now.

If teachers and students have to travel far and there is a lot of snow, it is logical to stay closed. Minister Arie Slob wrote on Twitter that it is very understandable if schools cannot open everywhere.
