Parents Asked For Research Into Methodology Absence At School.
Following education is important for a child. It helps a child find a good place in society. Missing school often, for any reason, can cause a child to drop out completely. Then a young person leaves education without a diploma and/or starting qualification for the labor market. To respond well to school absenteeism and help young people and parents, the Methodology Approach School Absenteeism (MAS) was developed a few years ago.
In this approach the attendance officer first checks if the missing young person can be supported with some form of voluntary help instead of giving a fine. Attendance officers from municipalities work with this approach.
The research agency BBSO does research about the approach to school absenteeism among young people in secondary education and about MAS. They would like to talk with parents of (missing) young people in secondary education (aged 12 to 17). Do you have experience with the approach to school absenteeism by attendance and possibly other involved organizations? Then we would like to hear more about your experience. The conversation will take about 30-45 minutes and will likely take place online. You will receive a reward for your participation in the form of a gift voucher of 20 euros. You can register until May 9 by sending an email to BBSO attn. Paul Boekhoorn info@bbso.nl
