A wish cherished by parents and parent organizations and one of the focus points from the evaluation of Tailored Education will now really come true. Each Partnership Tailored Education is given the task to set up an independent parent and youth support point. Help from parents is still needed so these support points really match what parents and young people need for Tailored Education.

Minister Slob offers Partnerships Tailored Education a guideline for setting up such a youth support point. This guideline was developed by the Ministry of OCW, representatives of the Partnerships Tailored Education and parent and student organizations.

Building together

This guideline ‘Building Together On Parent And Youth Support Points’ describes the three pillars a youth support point must have. These are: inform, support and signal. There is a clear timeline for the development. The minister expects that by the end of the school year 2021-2022 all Partnerships Tailored Education have the inform pillar ready. Concrete plans to develop the support point further are required. For all details: download the complete guideline.

Development

The Partnerships Tailored Education will now start developing the youth support points. They do this together with parents and children. Parents can think along themselves in a focus group. Or read along with the information on the website and the Partnership Tailored Education. The possibilities differ per Partnership Tailored Education. Your help is needed so these youth support points really match what parents and children need.
