There Are More And More Corona Infections, But More Than Three Quarters Of Parents With Students In Secondary Education Do Not Want All Secondary Schools To Be Closed (76%). More Than A Third Also Think This Is Not Necessary If One Or More Infections Are Detected (65%). We Asked Parents In The Landelijk Ouderpanel About Which Measures Apply, How Education Is Given, And How Schools Inform Parents About This.

Parents Are Divided On Whether The School Takes Enough Measures. About As Many Parents Find The Measures Too Limited As Too Strict. Compared To The Earlier Survey, More Parents Find The Mask Requirement Necessary. However, Almost Three Quarters Of Parents Think Taking Students’ Temperature Daily Is Not Needed.

Communication

The Extent To Which Parents Worry About The Growing Number Of Infections At Secondary Schools Varies A Lot. About Half Are Worried, And The Other Half Are Not. Few Parents Are Neutral. Many Parents Find Following The Measures Difficult And Believe Communication About The Measures At School And About Corona In General Could Improve.

Ventilation

The Majority Of Parents Think Ventilation At School Needs To Improve. More Than Half Of Parents Worry About The Ventilation At School. More Than Two Thirds Think Changes Are Needed To The Ventilation System. Besides, A Large Majority Of Parents Think The School Should Pay Extra Attention To Regularly Ventilating And Airing Classrooms. Compared To The Survey In August, These Concerns Are About The Same.
