State exam possible for students at regular school.

3 October 2023 News

The Board for Tests and Exams (CvTE) has expanded the registration and admission of candidates for the state exam. Now, students who are enrolled in a regular secondary school but cannot take the usual final exam at that school can earn their diploma or certificates through the state exam.

The new rule states that if students cannot take the final exam due to illness or other reasons and the school cannot arrange it, they can take the state exam. The school must give a statement saying it cannot organize the final exam. This rule helps students with special circumstances earn their diploma through state exams. Earlier, they were sometimes admitted, but starting this school year 2023/2024 there is an official rule.

For example, some students attending an orthopedagogical didactic center (OPDC) may not be able to take the final exam at their registered school due to individual circumstances. This group of students can now also take part in the state exam.
