Tips for the talk with school..
Sometimes it can be hard to talk with school. To help parents with this, the NJi, Balans and Ouders & Onderwijs have developed conversation cards full of useful tips. Parents can request this toolkit Together for the child for free.
The toolkit helps parents start the talk with school. For example, if things are not going well with your child. To support children’s development as well as possible, it is important that school and parents work well together. Interesting questions come up. How do you work together? How do you make sure everyone feels heard? How do you stay aware of the power of listening? How do you create an environment where people dare to be vulnerable?
How it works
Parents and professionals talk about eight cartoons. These cartoons focus on the theme of cooperation. The goal is to better understand the perspective and interests of the other. This makes expectations clear for both sides. The skill is not to stop at a conversation, but to make the talk the driving force of good cooperation for the sake of the children.
