The elections are coming. As a parent, you vote not only for yourself, but also for the future of your child. But what does your child actually find important? To find out, we launched a challenge for children: #ifIweretheboss.
Future bosses of the country
Maybe your child is the future prime minister of the Netherlands. What would your child do then? What should get more attention? What should be handled differently? And what are things that must not change? Ask your child yourself. Make a crown or take one from the dress-up box and make your child a king or queen.

Want to join too? Make a video where your child (with a crown) finishes this sentence: If I were the boss … (then I would/go/will). Post the video on social media, for example Facebook or Tiktok, with the hashtag #ifIweretheboss. Let the Netherlands know what your child finds important.
Election guide for parents
Especially for parents, Ouders & Onderwijs, together with Voor werkende ouders, made an election guide for the upcoming national elections on March 17. Through www.kieswijsouders.nl you get insight into the positions of the different political parties on education, childcare, growing up, and work-life balance. More than 15,000 parents have already filled in the election guide, will you join too?
