No central written exam for state exam candidates.
The central written exam is also canceled for the state exam. State exam candidates now get their diploma based on the results of the school exam. This was announced by the College for Testing and Exams on April 3.
Students in special education, at a private school, and students following IVIO often get their diploma through the State exam. There is now more clarity for them and the exam dates are known.
Exam dates
The college exam consists, depending on level and subject, of a written, practical, and/or oral part. The DUO website shows which parts the college exam has per level and subject. The content description stays the same. This is also on the DUO website.
The written college exams are from Monday, 25 May to 29 May and usually take place at school. The oral and practical college exams are between 6 June and 1 August. For students in VSO, the dates do not change. The retakes of the written exams are from 17 August to 20 August. The retakes of the oral and practical exams are on 22 and 29 August and possibly 5 September. The DUO website shows the exam schedule. For reports, the final submission date has changed from 1 April to 1 June.
All exams follow the RIVM guidelines.
Pass-fail rule
Work is ongoing on an adjusted pass-fail rule and retake options. Therefore, it is not yet known which grades a student needs to pass. The result of whether a student passes or fails will follow as soon as possible after the last exam part is finished.
Extra facilities requested for the oral exam, such as mentor presence, writing down answers on paper first and then discussing, remain valid. It is no longer possible to request new facilities.
More information
More information and practice material for the exams is on the DUO website. We wish all students good luck with their exams!
