Parent and education organizations ask for reporting point unsafe situations at school.
Parents association Balans asks the house of representatives to set up an independent reporting point for social safety at school as soon as possible. Ouders & Onderwijs notices, like Balans, an increase in questions from parents about social insecurity and supports the call to the house.
National parents association Balans asks the house of representatives in an open letter to set up an independent reporting point for reports of social insecurity at school as soon as possible. The reporting point should handle individual complaints from students, parents, and teachers. On May 15, a debate will take place about safety at school, exactly one year after the establishment of jouwveiligeschool.nl.
No solution
Balans asks to set up this previously promised reporting point as soon as possible, because other ways do not always offer a solution. An expertise network, which was also set up last year, can give information and refer victims to other organizations. But if the situation gets stuck, that network cannot break through either. In addition, other ways, such as filing a complaint and making a report to the confidential inspector, do not lead to action. So no solution in difficult cases.
