Step-by-step plan: how can you address problems with student transport?.

8 December 2022 News

Children with a disability or who go to special education or special primary education often depend on student transport to get to school. Do you as a parent experience problems with student transport such as long travel times, many changing drivers, and unsafe situations in the vans? And have your reports so far not led to improvements? This step-by-step plan helps you bring the problems to the attention of, among others, the municipality.

The step-by-step plan

There is a lot you can do to bring attention to problems in your child’s student transport. Like keeping a logbook, contacting other parents, and talking with, for example, an alderman. To give an overview of what is possible, we made a step-by-step plan with six steps you as a parent can take. Each step has useful tips for extra support.

The attachment

At the bottom of the step-by-step plan you find the attachment ‘I ring the bell about student transport’. It is a form you can print and send to your municipality. Do you want to send this file filled in online? Then use the tool or writing tool in the file with which you opened the .pdf.
