Study about student transport.
We do a study among parents about student transport. It is a topic we get many signals about from parents. Based on the analysis of the experiences, we will talk with the Association of Dutch Municipalities and the Ministry of Education about possible improvements.
We want to map out the experiences with (requesting) student transport. We especially call on parents with children involved to take part in the study. Fill in the questionnaire.
Rain of complaints
Earlier, our director Lobke Vlaming called in various media to do something about the long travel times for many students. She said that Ouders & Onderwijs receives more complaints and signals from parents across the country about this. ‘A schedule is made and if you are unlucky to be first, you have to go the whole trip.’ Vlaming finds this not suitable especially for these students. ‘These children need extra support. They are usually more vulnerable and sometimes spend up to an hour and a half a day in that bus. Something must be done about it.’

'There are many complaints and we get signals about this from all over the country,' said Vlaming.
