Learning problems.
Learning at school does not work well for some children. This can be temporary, for example, because a child does not feel well. But it can also last longer. Some children have the intelligence, but still find it hard to keep up at school. There can be learning problems.
Learning disorder
Learning problems can have many causes. Sometimes the school level does not match the knowledge level of a child well. Sometimes there are difficulties in processing information in the brain, such as dyslexia and dyscalculia. Sometimes a child has attention or concentration problems. Performance or motivation problems are also common. A disorder can only be diagnosed after careful research and a diagnosis by a qualified professional. The most common learning disorders are:
- Dyslexia: these children have trouble learning and accurately and/or quickly using reading and/or spelling at word level.
- Dyscalculia: these children have trouble learning and accurately and/or quickly using arithmetic skills and math knowledge.
