Attention: Central admission week for secondary schools starts march 25.

21 March 2024 News

Do you want to register your child for secondary school? You can do this this year during the central registration week. The central registration week is from March 25 to March 31, 2024.

As soon as your child has received the final school advice, it is time to register your child for secondary school. You do this during the central registration week. During this week all students register at the same time, so everyone has the same chance to get into the school of their choice.

Equal chances for every student

With a central registration week, the government wants every student to go to secondary school in a nice and fair way. Every student has, thanks to the central registration week, the same chance to get a place at a suitable secondary school. Also, the secondary school can plan better for the new school year because of this new rule.

Directly in the right class

There is less chance of unexpected changes. Because there is already final school advice, your child immediately goes to the right class.

Exceptions

Has your child already received final school advice before? Then you can register your child a week earlier. This does not mean they get priority for a spot at the school. Are you moving and need to register your child at a new secondary school? You can do this all year round.
