A Tribute To The Parent! 

We Started The Afternoon With A Speech From Lobke Vlaming, Director Of Ouders & Onderwijs. Lobke Gave A Beautiful Tribute To All Parents And Together With The Audience We Looked Back On 10 Years Of Ouders & Onderwijs. From More Than 100,000 Calls To The Advice Point To An Impressive Number Of Website Visits In Recent Years: Parents Have Always Been Indispensable. We Also Lifted A Corner Of The Veil Of The Staat Van De Ouder. The Relevant Theme This Year: Tribute To The Parent! 

Parents Speak Out 

Every Day The Experts Of Ouders & Onderwijs Are Ready To Help And Advise Parents About Their Children’s Education. Whether It Is About Distance Learning, Like In Sara Stegen, The Choice For Special Education, Like In Inca Menig, Or About Giftedness, Like In Marije Miltenburg. During The Afternoon, Parents Spoke And Shared Their Inspiring Stories.

The Role Of Parents In Education 

In The Middle Of The Program, Chairperson Charissa Promes Talked With A Panel To Discuss The Role Of Parents In Education. Panel Members Jordy Klaas, Fonda Sahla, Marije Van Den Berg And Floor Kaspers Talked About Innovative Education, Their Own Experiences And Much More. What Emerged Was The Need For Out-Of-The-Box Education. By Moving Away From Standard Solutions And Thinking Creatively, Education Becomes Not Only More Fun But Also More Motivating For Students.

Guest Speakers Grab Attention 

Writer And Teacher Pedro De Bruyckere Spoke About The Importance Of Unity Between Schools And Parents. If The Views Of Schools And Parents Were Aligned, Education And Development Would Be Much Easier For Many Children. Spoken Word Artist Gershwin Bonevacia Also Took The Stage And Shared His Personal Experiences With Education And Dyslexia. It Became Clear That Dyslexia Does Not Stop Him From Chasing His Dreams. He Ended With A Poem About The Importance Of Parents, Written Especially For The Anniversary Of Ouders & Onderwijs. A Video Of His Poem Was Also Made.
