From 17 January 2024 you can visit open days at mbo schools. These days are a good moment to discover together which school and which program suits your child.

Study choice and information

Choosing a school and study is quite a task. That is why it is important to support your child in choosing a follow-up education and school. Open days are good moments to get a feel for the atmosphere, discover studies, and experience schools. Has your child not chosen a favorite program yet? First discover together which programs are available.

During an open day it is important to pay attention to several things. For example:

• The atmosphere of a school. Is the atmosphere festive? Businesslike? Or somewhere in between? Watch your child’s reaction when you enter the building
• The different studies. Is there a study in your child’s favorite field?
• The lesson programs. Ask about the balance between self-study and lesson hours, school books, internships, and types of lessons

To prepare yourself and your child for an open day, you can prepare questions together to ask teachers and students. Then after the open day you at least have the necessary information to make a choice.
