Lessons again at universities, colleges and mbo schools.

Universities, colleges and mbo schools open again for physical lessons. After a period of distance learning, students can attend lessons again. The cabinet announced this easing in corona policy tonight.

The whole education system is open again. ‘We take a well-considered risk. Simply because it must be done. Our young people need to see each other at school and get lessons. They are extra vulnerable,’ said Ernst Kuipers, the new minister of health, during the press conference.

Conditions mbo, hbo and university

The following conditions apply. A maximum of 75 people are allowed in one room. Students must keep one and a half meters distance from each other. They must wear a face mask throughout the school building. Medical masks are encouraged. Students do two preventive self-tests at home per week. If the test is positive, the person and the family must quarantine and get tested at the GGD test site. If the test is negative, the student or teacher can go to school. This urgent test advice applies to everyone, including vaccinated people.
